Hey there! My name is Shana, welcome! At Blossoms & Bud, I make natural, small-batch, cold process soap, body oil, body scrubs, and linen & room spray.
In 2020 I was laid off from my job, like many others, and began looking for a creative outlet. At the time, I was also running my food blog, but as someone who enjoys exploring my creative side, I wanted to do more. I started playing around with melt & pour soap. Before I knew it, I was hooked and quickly moved to making soap cold process soap from scratch.
As someone who has dealt with eczema and other sensitive skin issues since childhood, I know the importance of using simple, quality ingredients. When I started using my handmade soap, my skin no longer felt dry and stripped after a bath or shower.
I make creamy bars of soap with skin-loving, moisturizing ingredients like shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut milk, and goat milk. While I use sustainable palm oil from South America, I also have palm-free options made with cocoa butter. All soaps are vegan except for Warm Oats - made with goat milk and honey.
